Summary[edit]

Description
English: Shaker Village at Pleasant Hill, Kentucky, is the largest and most elaborate of the Shaker-restored museums and visitor centers across the eastern United States. Many of the major, original buildings are restored for tours with exhibits in many rooms. This photo looks eastward between the East Family Wash House (at left) and the East Family Dwelling (at right). Pleasant Hill is actually on a hill and, each morning, the sun rises dramatically through the trees at the village's eastern end.
