| Description | Late sunset from along the north bank of the Tittabawassee river near the Averill Rollway. The Averill Rollway was a log banking ground from 1876 until 1887 during the lumber boom. At one point Averill was the largest such banking ground in the world with 21.5 million board feet of lumber stored there over the winter waiting for spring to ride the river to the sawmills. |
