Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Summer Street Cat Clinic, 25 Summer Street, Buffalo, New York, August 2010. Built circa 1887, the building served originally as the carriage house in back of the Charlotte Crocker mansion at 97 Linwood Avenue, though the mélange of its architectural style is more of an even mix between the Romanesque Revival (visible especially in the rusticated window heads on the lower floors) and Shingle styles (the sprawling look and, of course, shingle siding of the upper floor), by comparison to the much more heavily Romanesque main house. The carriage house was divided into apartments around World War II, which is where Charlotte's sister-in-law Minerva LaTour lived out the last half-dozen years of her life, dying there in 1935. The Summer Street Cat Clinic has been in business there since 1981, offering feline-specialized veterinary services as the name indicates.
