Description
Nederlands: De sultan is geportretteerd in de open lucht vergezeld door twee dienaren. Op de achtergrond zien we enkele gebouwen. Mogelijk moet dit het haremgedeelte van het paleis van de sultan, het Topkapı Sarayı, voorstellen. Ahmed III draagt een met bont gevoerde kaftan en een tulband die kâtibî wordt genoemd. Dit type tulband was gedrapeerd rondom een plat hoofddeksel en versierd met een waaiervormig sieraad. Ook de ceintuur van de sultan is rijk bezet met juwelen, evenals de ceremoniële staf die hij in zijn rechterhand vasthoudt. Staande, ten voeten uit, scepter in de rechterhand. Op de achtergrond twee volgelingen voor het paleis. Collection: schilderijen; Vanmour serie
