Description THE LANSDOWNE BRIDGE OVER THE INDUS- The beautiful cantilever railway bridge over the Indus at Sukkur is a testimony to the skill of our Indian engineers, and an important link in the line of our frontier communications. It is named after the Marquess of Lansdowne. who was Viceroy of India from 1888 to 1893.
