Description
English: This image shows the former royal saxon corporal's school (1822-1920) in Struppen.
Deutsch: Das Bild zeigt das Unterkunftshaus der königlich-sächsischen Soldatenknaben-Erziehungsanstalt in Struppen. Hier wurden ab 1822 Halbwaisen und Waisenkinder ehemaliger Soldaten ab dem 12. Lebensjahr auf die Übernahme späterer Funktionen im Wirtschafts- und Staatsdienst vorbereitet. Zwischen 1868-73 bestand eine Unteroffizierschule, danach eine Unteroffiziervorschule. Die Anstalt wurde nach dem Versailler Vertrag 1920 aufgelöst.
