Emerson's was on First Avenue on part of the ground floor of a theater building that at this time was known as the "Star Theatre" (a little of the sign can be seen at left). This block was completely torn down in the 1960s to build what is now (2019) the Henry M. Jackson Federal Building.

The "Star Theatre" was originally the "Alcazar" then successively "Star," "State Ritz," "Gaiety," "Oak," "State," the "Olympic," "Tivoli," and finally "Rivoli." [1]
