Description
Nederlands: nl:Straalzender (Hoek van Holland): De straalzender of troposcatter in Hoek van Holland, Nederland, is een voormalig Amerikaans radio-relaystation met vier grote schotelantennes. De vier schotelantennes werden tijdens de Koude Oorlog in 1967 en deels in de jaren 50 gebouwd. De zender werd gebruikt om berichten door te sturen van West-Duitsland, via het Verenigd Koninkrijk naar de Verenigde Staten. Sinds de val van IJzeren Gordijn staat het complex, nadat het overgedragen is aan het ministerie van Defensie, ongebruikt in de duinen.
