| Description |
English: Stothert & Pitt beam engine, Bath University This nice four column engine was built for an exhibition and was latterly displayed al fresco at the maker's works. It is now indoors at the bottom of a stairwell in Bath University. Position is approximate. Security don't mind pointing you in the right direction. This shot is off the staircase itself. Compressed air is laid on to within about 3 foot and there is a coupling on the engine but I've never seen the link established. |
