They borrowed some tools from a neigh-boring farmhouse, and dug for about fourhours, and finally pulled out and killed, anenormous wharf rat. Discomforted theywended their way back to the hotel with theunderstanding that the whole matter shouldbe kept quiet. But they forgot to fix thefarmer and he let the cat out of the bag.The town was too small to hold the partyafter that. INSECT HUNTINGIN WINTER.
