Summary[edit]
DescriptionSteam engine, Walkley's Clogs - geograph.org.uk - 655671.jpg |
English: Steam engine, Walkley's Clogs This had been erected in the former boiler room as an attraction. It was originally installed at Wragg's fireclay works, Loxley and then spent some time in the long grass at Wortley Top Forge. It is a product of Thornewill & Warham, Burton-on-Trent.
The site has been closed some years and various plans have been discussed for conversion to housing. The current situation of the engine is not known. Walkley still make clogs in a new unit. |
