Summary[edit]
DescriptionStaverton Station - the crossing keeper (geograph 5481212).jpg |
English: Staverton Station. The train is gone and the keeper is now moving the gates to open them to road traffic and close them to train traffic. The terms open and close really refer to your viewpoint - that of a car or a train. The gates are interlocked with the signals as a safety feature. A former water mill is seen on the right. |
