Statspolitiet (shortened STAPO) was from 1941 to 1945 a National Socialist armed police force that consisted of Norwegian officials after Nazi German pattern.


Norsk bokmål: Høylue (uniformslue, politilue, skyggelue) for Statspolitiet 1942–45. Luetypen likner på de tyske okkupantenes Schirmmütze. Solkors-emblem som stats- og politisymbol etter mønster av partimerket for Nasjonal Samling (NS). Ørnemerket er ødelagt og har brukket vinge.

Statspolitiet, forkortet Stapo, var en nasjonalsosialistisk politistyrke av norske tjenestemenn, opprettet 1. juni 1941 under den tyske okkupasjonen som et væpnet politisk politi etter tysk mønster. Det skulle først og fremst settes inn mot politiske forbrytelser, flyktninger, spionasje, sabotasje og motstand mot okkupasjonsstyret eller norske nazi-myndigheter.

Justismuseet: Ny naziinspirert politiuniform og politimerke ble innført i 1942. Angivelig viste noen norske tjenestemenn sin motstand mot okkupasjonsmakten og NS ved å ødelegge luemerket, f.eks ved å brekke av den ene vingen på "skarven". Flere merker er nok også blitt ødelagt etter frigjøringen. Bruk 1942 - 1945 (reglementert). Se distinksjoner i digitaltmuseum.no og Norske politi- og lensmannsuniformer 1796-1986 side 162–172.
