Description
English: Students pictured with their teacher on the steps at Upper Broadwater State School, ca. 1910

The Upper Broadwater School (west of the Summit), near Jolly's Falls, was originally known as the Upper Broadwater Provisional School. The teacher pictured was Miss Brayden, who boarded for ten years with the Jully family at the Summit. The school closed in 1921. The school was in the Stanthorpe Shire in Southern Queensland.

The students pictured, come from families including Chapmans (4), Tray (2), Warren (3), Taggart (3), Jolly (5), Butler (5), Matthews (4), Tennant (1) and Donnelly (3). (Description supplied with photograph.).
