Description
English: Lydia Goodliff Sandercock and son Edwin.
Lydia Goodliff Sandercock (nee Filsell) and son Kenneth Edwin Sandercoe (ne Sandercock) aged two and a half years, taken in the summer 1923-24 by Cecil Edwin Percival Sandercock at the Moreton Bay side of Woody Point, using an Ensign, quarter inch plate, F.8 folding camera. In the background is the bathing sheds, most of which belonged to private houses, but there were two large ones for public use. In those days, one walked to the beach in street clothes and changed into bathing costume in the bathing sheds. The last one disappeared around WWII. Lydia and Cecil purchased a house on the corner of Kate and Annie Streets in 1923, and sold it in 1948. It was sold and rmoved to Clontarf a few years later. (Description supplied with photograph).
