Description
English: 50th anniversary of the Space Era. The miniature sheet of Russia, (3 stamps), 12 April 2007, PTC Marka Catalogue No 1173–1175, Michel No 1405–1407 (Block100). Offset printing, varnish coating, metallic paint. Perforation: frame 12. Size of the miniature sheet: 110×110 mm. Size of a single stamp: 32.5×32.5 mm. Print run: 125,000 miniature sheets.
  • No 1173, 10 rubles. The first artificial Earth satellite Sputnik 1 (1957).
  • No 1174, 20 rubles. Sergey Korolev (1906–1966), a Soviet scientist, a rocket engineer and a spacecraft designer, the leading figure of the Soviet space program.
  • No 1175, 20 rubles. Konstantin Tsiolkovsky (1857–1935), an Imperial Russian and Soviet rocket scientist and a pioneer of the astronautic theory, one of the founding fathers of rocketry and astronautics.
  • The margins of the miniature sheet: the view of Earth and the Moon from the terrestrial space, the International Space Station in near-earth orbit.
