Stamp of the German Democratic Republic; 1986; special issue to "Historical coins of towns in Germany"; Meant is East-Germany.; The stamp motives of the stamps of this issue show so-called "Town Thalers" as city currency of this towns.; The GDR-stamp Michel No. 3042 from 1986 shows a "Town Thaler" from Erfurt of the year 1663.; This stamp was postmarked with an one-circle first-day special cancellation with 35.0 mm diameter from 1085 Berlin, and shows a "Town Thaler" from Halberstadt from 1618 as central motive beside date and inscription.
