Airmail stamp of the United Arab Emirates - Emirate Fujeira; 1970: airmail stamp of the issue "Nude paintings by Renoir"; meant is the French painter and master of the impressionism "Pierre-Auguste Renoir" (1841-1919); Depicted is the painting “Diana” (French original title: “Diane chasseresse”).; Renoir has created this painting in 1867 in the style of the impressionism. Contemporary it’s located in the “National Gallery of Art” in Washington D.C. (USA).; The painter used the figure of the Roman mythology “...because the picture was considerated pretty improper and a turning in a mythological subject woud make it (= the painting) more acceptable.” (original words of Pierre-Auguste Renoir); Depicted as female model is in each case the secret love of Renoir; the joung Miss Lise Trémot.; This stamp is one of the so-called “Dunes-issues”.; stamp postmarked by CTO
