Stamp of the German Democratic Republic; 1960; commemorative stamp of the series "Launching of the FDGB-Vacationner ship (cruiser ship) "MS Fritz Heckert"; stamp motive with a model of the "MS Fritz Heckert" ("MS" = German for "Motorschiff" or "Motorsegler" = "Motor Vessel" or "Motorsailer", "FDGB" = German for "Freier Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund" = "Free Federation of German Trade Unions" = owner of the ship) + emblem of the Vth party rally of the SED ("Sozialistische Einheitspartei Deutschlands" = German for "Socialist Unity Party of Germany"); The launching of the 8120 BRT (GRT)-ship (other source: 7400 BRT) took place at the .; This ship was built under the name "Solidarität" on the then "Mathias-Thesen-Werft" in Wismar and had serious shortcomings due to the construction of the ship.; 1971-1991 was home port "Rostock".; In the year 1991 was sold this ship to the United Arab Ereminates and was renamed in "Gulf fantasy."; This ship was scrapped 1999 in India.; stamp postmarked
