Description
Deutsch: Staging Area der US Army in Bremerhaven-Weddewarden, Blickrichtung Nord. Oben rechts sind die Wurster Straße und die Bahnschleife zur Columbuskaje, zu den Kaiserhäfen und zum Nordhafen zu sehen. Die sechs hellen Häuser in der Bildmitte wurden von den Amerikanern errichtet und waren Unterkünfte. Die anderen Gebäude stammen aus der Zeit des Nationalsozialismus. Auf dem Vorplatz zum Flugfeld stehen die Autos der GI´s (untere Bildmitte). Das frühere Rollfeld des Seefliegerhorsts ist mit Bäumen bepflanzt und wurde von den Amerikanern als Golfplatz genutzt (Peter Raap).
