Description St Michael's Cathedral (Which was built in two stages, Stage one 1885-87 and stage two 1922-25) is one of 4 Victorian Gothic Sandstone Cathedrals built in New South Wales and one of the last to be built in Australia. St Michael's became a cathedral in 1917.
