Summary[edit]

Description
English: St Eadburgha's Church, Broadway This 12th century church stands nearly a mile south of Broadway's High Street on the Snowshill road. This inconvenient arrangement led to a chapel of ease being built in the town itself in the 17th century, which was replaced in 1839 with a new church dedicated to St Michael's and All Angels. The old church continues to be used, however, with regular services. St Eadburgha was a grand-daughter of King Alfred the Great who, it is said, when offered a gift of jewellery or a bible chose the latter.
