Summary[edit]

Description
English: Stained glass panel in the nave of St. John's Anglican Church, Ashfield, New South Wales (NSW). This scene depicts Jesus Christ as the Lamb of God above Saint John the Baptist and Saint Paul who both spoke of Jesus in this way. John declared "Behold the Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world." (John 1:29), and Paul writes to the Corinthians "For Christ, our Passover lamb, has been sacrificed." (1 Cor 5:7). Also of note in the window an English flag, a token acknowledging the Anglican context. The inscriptions on this memorial window read "TO THE GLORY OF GOD and in Memory of William Russell. Died 7th April 1905." and "TO THE GLORY OF GOD and in Memory of Marian Russell. Died 4th August 1907."
