| Description |
English: Eastern Missouri's Graham Cave is a sandstone shelter cave. Write-ups that assert it's a contact cave, with the cave developed at the St. Peter Sandstone-Jefferson City Dolomite contact, are inaccurate.
Graham Cave is developed entirely in the St. Peter Sandstone (Keller et al., 1974), a basal Tippecanoe Megasequence deposit. The St. Peter is a quartzose sandstone with horizontal bedding and cross-bedding. The unit ranges from being friable to well-cemented.
