| Description |
English: St. Mary's Portchester - Quire & Chancel Taken from the nave looking east. The Quire or Crossing, above which rises the little tower is delineated by four great Norman arches, two of which can be seen here. To the north (left) a third arch leads into the North Transept while a fourth arch, now filled would have led into the long-demolished South Transept. Beyond the easternmost arch lies the Chancel.
