Summary

[edit]
Description
English: St. Andrew's By-the-Sea Episcopal Church, located at 182 Willow Avenue in Little Compton, Rhode Island, began in 1914 as a summer mission chapel on Sakonnet Point. In 1987, the congregation began holding winter services in the Ladies Parlor of the United Congregational Church. In 1994 the congregation made the decision to sell the Sakonnet Point property, which has acquired a rectory in 1952. It was purchased by the nearby Stone House, and the congregation bought the Gould Building on Willow Avenue in 1997. After a year of renovation and restoration, services began in the new church in 1998. The mission became a full parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Providence in 2001. (Source: "Our History"
