Description
Bahasa Indonesia: Tari Srikandi Cakil merupakan petikan dari cerita Mahabarata yang menceritakan bahwa Cakil yang diutus oleh Prabu Jungkung Mardeya dari Palanggubarja untuk memboyong Dewi Wara Srikandi yang akan dijadikan istri Prabu Jungkung Mardeya Tarian ini adalah salah satu tari gaya Surakarta Hadiningrat dari cerita lakon pewayangan “Srikandi Meguru Manah”. Menggambarkan seorang prajurit wanita perkasa pahlawan medan perang yang bertarung melawan raksasa kecil Cakil [rahang bawah yang lebih panjang dari pada rahang atas]. Dewi Srikandi tidak mau diperistri Prabu Jungkung Mardeya, dan terjadilah perang tanding yang dimenangkan oleh Srikandi dengan panah sakti yang diberi nama “Dakak” milik Arjuna.
