English: Spirit of '76
Originally titled Yankee Doodle, this is one of several versions painted by Archibald Willard, the first in 1875, that came to be known as The Spirit of '76, in reference to the year 1776. Often parodied, it is one of the most famous images of The American Revolutionary War. The original painting is in Abbot Hall, Marblehead, Massachusetts.
