Description
Deutsch: Spiegelsaal aus dem Budge-Palais im Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe Hamburg. Der Spiegelsaal wurde 1909 in den Budge-Palais (heutige Hochschule für Musik und Theater, kurz Musikhochschule) im Neorokoko-Stil eingebaut. Während des Nationalsozialismus wurde der Budge-Palais den jüdischen Erben entschädigungslos vorenthalten. Ende der 1970er-Jahre wurde der Spiegelsaal anlässlich des Umbaus der Musikhochschule vor dem Abriss gerettet. Er wurde vom Museum für Kunst und Gewerbe in den nördlichen Innenhof übernommen. Das Deckengemälde des Spiegelsaals stammt aus dem Jahr 2005 von dem Maler Klaus Fußmann. Heute finden im Spiegelsaal Musikaufführungen statt und er kann für Veranstaltungen gemietet werden.
