Summary[edit]
| Description | It is a common practice in Toronto, especially around areas such as Chinatown, and Little Italy, to have the street signs translated into the second most common language of the residents (or at least the historic residents for whom the area was named). I often wonder, though, what they do if the word doesn't have a direct translation with a word in the other language. In any case, the practice certainly adds a nice, International flair to the place. |
