Description

Souvenir letter of Australia; 1971; so-called "space letter"; letter of the "world first transfer from a spacecraft to an orbiting space station" (special cancellation); The space craft was the Soviet "Soyuz 11" (board cancellation) and the Australian firm which was undertoken that was the "Amalgamated Wireless Ltd.", in Woomera (Austalia) (firm cancellation in laying oval); The letter was franked with an Australian stamp Michel No. 497 from to the "100th anniversary of the Syndney Stock Exchange" with a graphic representing market risks for stock exchange brokers.; This graphic was created by the firm "MONAD Design and Visual Graphic" in Newcastle (New South Wales, Australia).; The cancellation of the franked stamp was occured with an daily cancellation (30.0 mm inner diameter) from "Woomera" (town in a military exclusion zone in South Australia), dated with "Woomera", 08-"JE"-1971.; The moth "JE" give riddlles, because it could be the "June" or the "Dec" or is standing for a random month in generally.; A part of the issue of this letter was stolen.; decimal issue; stamp postmarked
