| Description |
English: A model of Southern Vectis 316 Ladder Chine (SN03 LDU), a Dennis Dart SLF/Plaxton Pointer MPD. The model is made by Creative Master Northcord, and was released in December 2007. A photo of the real bus in May 2009 can be seen at File:Southern Vectis 316 SN03 LDU rear.JPG. This was one of the Darts new to Solent Blue Line, that transferred to Southern Vectis to provide additional capacity. It has since moved to Wilts & Dorset, and operates on the Salisbury Reds city network. The bus is modelled on route 29, which took an indirect route between Ryde and Newport via Havenstreet, Wootton and the Folly Inn. Along with the bus, which is no longer with Southern Vectis, route 29 was abandoned by the company. It was taken over by Wightbus, but withdrawn in September 2010 with partial replacements on other routes. |
