Description

Deze fat-tyre elektrische fiets is ontwikkeld door een surfer uit Californië, Storm Sondors. Hij was in het dagelijks leven ontwerper van Happy Meal-speelgoed. Nadat hij een ongeluk kreeg en niet meer goed kon trappen, ging hij met zijn Aziatische leveranciers op zoek naar een goedkoop alternatief voor de e-bike. Dat werd uiteindelijk dit gevaarte.

Het ziet er behoorlijk basaal uit. Er wordt geen moeite gedaan om de accu te verhullen, er zit geen systeem op dat remenergie regenereert, spatborden ontbreken en gas geven gaat met een simplistisch duimgassysteempje. Met de elektromotor van 350 Watt weet de gele beach cruiser een topsnelheid van zo’n 30 km/u te halen. Het bereik van de accu (36 Volt, 9 Ah) ligt tussen de 50 en 80 kilometer. Daarna hoeft de accu slechts anderhalf uur geladen om weer door te kunnen gaan gosondors.com
