Description
Français : Solidus au nom « dégénéré » de Justin Ier ou Justinien Ier.

Revers : VICTO/R/I/A/AAVGCC Victoire de face, pieds à gauche, tenant une longue croix et un globe crucigère, étoile au-dessous. CONOI sous une ligne d’exergue très marquée. Le style du buste de l’empereur et le diadème sont similaires à ceux du solidus attribué à Thierry Ier :

A l’époque de Thierry de nombreuses campagnes militaires contre les Visigoths permettent de recruter des graveurs dont on reconnaît le style sur des triens (avec T final) et sur quelques solidi dont celui-ci. Nous préférons donc placer ce solidus au règne de Thierry, imitant probablement le monnayage de Justinien Ier suggéré par la fin de légende.
