English: Solidisk Real Time Clock and Desk (top).The Solidisk Real Time Clock and Desk (RTC) can be plugged into any ROM socket on the BBC Model B. The RTC is powered by a rechargeable battery which should keep the RTC active throughout the Summer holidays. Apart from giving the Time and Date, the RTC has many of the AUTO-CONFIGURE features of the Master with the same commend syntax, a friendly DESKTOP program for use with the AMX MOUSE , a DIARY and a Calculator.
The Solidisk RTC has a HD146818P Real Time Clock and a Solidisk ROM with a rechargeable Varta battery providing power to keep the correct time when the computer is powered off. |
