Summary[edit]
DescriptionSolidago sempervirens (3530065214).jpg |
English: 226. No berries, No Geese. Gooseberry Island
Seaside Goldenrod. Looking towards Pepperell Cove. This small island protects the cove. Cove side is very shallow, the Piscataqua river cuts a deep channel on the other side. S. sempervirens is a maritime plant, and is accordingly found along the ocean from Mexico north to Newfoundland. It is naturally found inland along the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Great Lakes, and has expanded its range further inland along roadsides over the past 30 years. It is highly tolerant of both saline soils and salt spray, and is usually found growing on coastal dunes and in salt marshes. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Solidago_sempervirens |
