Summary[edit]

Description
English: Sloes on a blackthorn hedge, near Thame. The hedge along the Phoenix Trail had a profusion of fruit, nuts and berries at the end of August. These sloes are the fruit of the blackthorn, related to plums. Others included haws, rose hips, elderberries, and acorns. The trail runs east-west, and the south-facing northern hedge was particularly rich in berries.
