Summary[edit]

Description
English: Slime mould [Fuligo septica] One of the few slime moulds that is well enough known to have common name - flowers of tan, derived from the fact that it commonly occurred on oak bark used for tanning leather in tan yards. Slime moulds are not really fungi, but have traditionally been included with fungi when they are studied. They more resemble protozoan animals in their life style.
