have all mate-rial properly and carefully packed so as to avoid possibility of damageduring shipment. Should any consumer receive any material in bad shape, report thesituation at once to the agent of the carrier by whom it has been shipped,so that it may be adjusted, as the responsibility for breakage is up to thecarrier after it has been accepted for shipment. It is the endeavor of theCompany to avoid such complications as much as possible, so that therewill be no danger of delay or expense once the fixture leaves the quarrywhere it is produced. Separate price lists for Pyramid Brand products will be issuedfrom time to time. These should be placed in the pocket provided forthis purpose on the inside rear cover of this catalogue. This price listwill also contain a table of the freight rates from Pen Argyl to the variouspossible points of shipment. By using this information the consumer canestimate closely the cost of delivery of materials over and above the costof the fixture itself.

Slate Shower Installation in New High School Building, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania 11 THE STRUCTURAL SLATE COMPANY SLATE AND ITS USES It has been authoritatively stated that slate, perhaps more than anyother material, is intimately connected with the life and death of the aver-age human being. This is due to its widely distributed uses, such as forthe various plumbing fixtures and equipment for the home, the office, thefactory, the public building and the store, as floors, wainscoting, labora-tory and electrical equipment, and, in death, as the grave vault and asshelves in the mausoleum. The slate as it is quarried is separated into three divisions for use aseither roofing, blackboard and structural stock as seems best fitted. Tobe economically produced, each quarry should contain stone all of whichmay be utilized for at least one of these purposes. In no quarry is therefound slate which is usable for one purpose only and which is com-mercially workable. All slate used for structural slat
