Summary[edit]

Description
English: Skylab 4 commander Gerald Carr flies the astronaut maneuvering equipment experiment in the forward compartment of the Skylab space station. The jet-propelled back pack was designed to demonstrate the unit's flying qualities. The effort helped pave the way for use of the Manned Maneuvering Unit that aided spacewalkers during the space shuttle program.
