Summary[edit]
DescriptionSklenene Koralky Sumavske Pateriky.jpg |
English: "Páteřík" (but more often in the plural "páteříky"; German: Glasperlen) is a simple small glass bead that was made by winding soft glass onto metal rods. The next step was cutting or pressing into moulds, which gave the beads different shapes (barrel-shaped, faceted, hexagonal, polygonal, blackberry, etc.). The spines were used to make rosaries. Photo taken in the collection of Šumava historical glass in the Museum of Šumava in Kašperské Hory. |
