Description
English: Skagerrakstein or Marine-Gedenkstein or Marine-Ehrenmal - a monument to the German Kriegsmarine soldiers dead and missing on the sea during World War I. Erected 1939 in Gdańsk (former Danzig).
Polski: Zdewastowany pomnik Poległym bohaterom niemieckiej Marynarki Wojennej 1914-1918, zwany Skagerrakstein lub Marine-Gedenkstein lub Marine-Ehrenmal. Oficjalnie odsłonięty 25 czerwca 1939 r. w Gdańsku. 26 sierpnia 1939 r. w uroczystych obchodach przy pomniku, z okazji rocznicy zatonięcia niemieckiego okrętu SMS "Magdeburg", wzięła udział delegacja przebywającego w Wolnym Mieście Gdańsku pancernika "Schleswig-Holstein". Gdańsk-Wrzeszcz.
