| Description |
English: Site of the Battle of Stow-on-the-Wold On the 21st March 1646 the Battle of Stow-on-the-Wold is thought to have taken place on this farmland about 1500 metres to the north of the town. This was the last battle of the first Civil War which despite initial Royalist success, the superior Parliamentary Army numbers were decisive.
