Title
English: Site Map of Prehistoric Tracks
Description
English:

A schematic map displays the location of human and animal tracks in relation to sedimentary layers at the excavation site. The sedimentary layers are color coded and the tracks of humans, mammoths, and canids are individually marked.

Schematic maps are useful to illustrate excavation sites and locations of objects or tracks. Sedimentary layers are easily distinguished using different colors and tracks are more identifiable among the sedimentary layers as shown.
