Description
English: An early-medieval silver penny of Offa of Mercia (757-96), Light Coinage (North 271; Chick 106), mint: Canterbury, moneyer: Eoba. Ref: North 1994: 84; Chick 2010; this coin also published as Naismith and Naylor 2012, no.11.

Obv: OF in a square of pellets with a line of pellets projecting diagonally from each angle. RM below and Latin cross above and at sides. Rev: EOBA on the leaves of a quatrefoil with annulet and cross of pellets in centre.
