Description
English: A medieval copper alloy signet ring. The ring is very large, designed to fit over a gloved hand. The bezel is engraved in reverse with the device of a flowering heart with the initials M & I in black letter either side of the heart. It was intended to serve as a personal seal matrix. The hoop is moulded with pronounced writhen decoration all around its circumference.
