| Description |
English: The calculated rate at which the frequency of a newly mutated sickle-cell gene will increase in a population exposed to intense malarial selection. The change over generations in the sickle-cell heterozygote (Aa) + homozygote (AA) frequency in the adult population that would occur from a low level (recent mutation) or a high level (unlikely founder event in a small population) when the fitnesses of the normal homozygote, sickle-cell heterozygote and sickle-cell homozygote are 0.95, 1.19 and 0.30, respectively.
