English: Inscription between the two ornamental bands (in Russian): ШЕЛОМЪ КНЯЗЯ ИВАНА ВАСИЛИЕВИЧЯ ВЕЛИКОГО КНЯЗЯ С(Ы)НА ВАСИЛИА ИВАНОВИЧЯ ГОСПОДАРЯ ВСЕЯ РУСИ САМОДЕРЖЦА (Helmet of Prince Ivan Vasilyevich, Grand Prince, the son of Vasiliy Ivanovich Lord Autocrat of All Russia).
Inscription on the upper portion of the helmet (in Arabic): Allah Mohammed, an abbreviated form of well-known expression Allah is Great and Mohammed is His Prophet (Russian imitation of Arabic patterns).
