Summary[edit]

Description
Afrikaans: 'n Vywer in die dorpie Dzyhivka (Дзи́гівка) in die Oekraïne. Hierdie tipe struktuur word normaalweg dzherelo (джерело) in Oekraïens genoem, hoewel dit plaaslik 'n sjiepit (шипіт in Oekraïens) of sjiepot (шипот in Russies) genoem word, wat normaalweg verwys na 'n waterval.
English: A fountain or spring in the village of Dzyhivka (Дзи́гівка), Ukraine. This type of structure is normally called a dzherelo (джерело) in Ukrainian, though here it is called a shipit (шипіт - Ukrainian) or shipot (шипот - Russian), which would normally refer to a waterfall. This type of fountain is a clean water source in many villages in Ukraine, serving as an alternative to a well. It consists of a large metal pipe drilled into a hill horizontally. Clean, cold water runs constantly out of the pipe and creates a pool of water at the base, surrounded by stones, and runs out creating a small river.
