  • 新型コロナウィルスの流行による広告出稿の減少で、ハチ公口の直上にある広告スペース「ハチコーボード」（縦4m×横20m）と、東急百貨店東横店の北側壁面に、それぞれ広告が上がっていない。ハチコーボードは2020年4月20日以降、5月17日時点で4週間にわたり広告出稿がなく、これほど長期間ハチコーボードが空いたのは前例がない。（出典：コロナ影響、消えた広告　中づり減少、渋谷駅も真っ白、時事、2020年5月16日閲覧）
